Dear Dot,

As far as your request for potential authors on DM list, I am pleased to pass you the following information.

There is a French pre-web medieval iniciative that I think is worth to be mentioned:

Dr. Jerome Baschet, Professor at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, and member of the Groupe d'anthropologie historique de l'Occident Medieval (more info here: http://gahom.ehess.fr/document.php?id=505), led in the early nineties a team in charge of the project of indexing the Vatican Library and the creation of a thesaurus.
Moyen Age, T. 106, 1 (1994): 179-188.
The e-mail of Mr. Baschet is jerome.baschet@ehess.fr

Dear List,

In 2009, the Digital Medievalist Journal will be publishing a special
issue on the lessons learned from pre-web digital medieval projects.
The editors have compiled a list of scholars we will be inviting to
submit articles for this issue, however we feel the list as it stands
is rather Anglo-centric. We are turning to the list to suggest
potential authors - either scholars who themselves developed pre-web
projects, or who have studied such projects with an historical view.
We would especially like the names of non-US, non-Canadian, and
non-English scholars. Please send suggestions to the DM list, or
directly to the DM Editorial Board (editors@digitalmedievalist.org).

Many thanks,
Dot
