"Neither the text nor the images may be reproduced, in any form, without the authorisation of the Vatican Library, 00120, Vatican City. "

What is the likelihood that the Vatican Library would release the images and metadata to be build with? (An honest question - I'm not really being snarky)

Dear list,

a treasure has recently appeared on-line:

<http://www.vaticanlibrary.va/home.php?pag=mss_digitalizzati>
Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana
Manoscritti digitalizzati
elenco aggiornato al 23 gennaio 2013

There is also some bibliographic infrastructure:
<http://www.mss.vatlib.it/guii/console?service=simple>

The question is: what can we build with this?

Best,

Neven
