One sees failure, one sees attempts with limited resources. Whatever view we have I hope none of us will leave it to ADHO to build communities. I hope all individuals and all the organisations we form, some inside ADHO and some outside, will continue taking part in that.

Maybe we should try less hard to give more room for new voices? Or maybe we should indeed try harder?

I am not sure but what I do know is this: I do not have any problem with Global South people talking to each other and I am happy such dialogues are not starting now, but have gone on for a long time.

Dear Northern friend,

I love your sense of humour. But the truth beyond jokes is that ADHO seemed to have failed to build an equal, diverse and inclusive Digital Humanities community.

Try harder!

Try harder!
