I’m a new librarian, recently hired by the University of Miami to work with metadata and digital projects. I’m responsible for metadata creation and management for our local Cuban Heritage Collection (http://merrick.library.miami.edu/digitalprojects/chc.php). I’m also interested in developing partnerships with projects in Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) countries. In 2011, I worked on a small case study of Brazilian digital libraries, interviewing project managers from 13 initiatives throughout the country. Since then, I’ve been eager to participate in DH projects that cross not only international, but also socioeconomic borders.

Soy responsable por la creación y gestión de metadatos para nuestra Colección de Herencia Cubana (http://merrick.library.miami.edu/digitalprojects/chc.php). También me interesa la posibilidad de colaborar con proyectos en países lusófonos (de lengua portuguesa). En 2011, hice un pequeño estudio de caso sobre bibliotecas digitales brasileñas, entrevistando a administradores de 13 iniciativas de todo el país. A partir de entonces, he tenido muchas ganas de participar en proyectos de Humanidades Digitales que crucen fronteras, sean internacionales, sean socioeconómicas.
