Dear all,

I'm not sure what's the status of this list, but I thought I'd share this important information for your consideration.

KEY ISSUE: Why Elsevier have been subcontracted by a consortium on behalf of the European Commission for the Open Science Monitor.

We, the below signed, wish to raise a formal complaint to the European Ombudsman about the recent announcement that Elsevier, a scholarly publisher and data analytics provider, has been subcontracted to monitor the future progress of Open Science in Europe.

This complaint was already submitted on 5th July 2018, but a second (and third, and possibly fourth) set of signatures will be submitted.

More than 1000 colleagues have signed so far.

We have been asked to please spread the word to everyone who missed the first deadline.
