I think this would be a great idea. We'd thought a year or two ago of setting up a "south-south" DH conference or set of regional conferences and held the first in conjunction with RedHD, but I think in the end that was too tough for us to maintain (not an unusual thing at this stage in a life cycle).

I guess, on the other hand, there might be a concern about that a south-south focus might remove southern voices from the global DH table. This is not something I'd have thought--I tend to think in terms of "both... and" rather than "either... or." But I think this is something Élika was saying or at least implying in her talk yesterday at the MLA (is that right Élika? I'm not sure I got you right there).

We were also debating what to do for a workshop for DH2016.

Me imagino que muchos ya conocerán la red CLACSO (http://www.clacso.org.ar), que origina del Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales. Quizás sería interesante empezar a explorar la posibilidad de un encuentro ciencias sociales-humanidades en el congreso DH de México de 2018?
Además sabemos que el tema de las tecnologias digitales es el terreno más adecuado para reanudar el diálogo interdisciplinar. Esta conferencia en el junio pasado fue un ejemplo muy claro de los solapamientos entres las dos areas:
