Hi all,

The Department of English has two positions open this spring: post-1960s literature (tenure track) and eighteenth century (3yr term). Application deadline is March 10. You can find out more here (post-1960s) and here (eighteenth century).

In both cases, the department is looking explicitly for people who can teach in these areas and help broaden and expand our range of offerings and our research/supervision, so additional interests that complement those of the other members of the department or bring new areas to us are particularly welcome. This could mean anything from DH to Decolonisation; Children's literature to Critical Race Theory.

We are a small department that is beginning what we hope will be a period of rebuilding after significant budget cuts. This means that any hires in these areas will have considerable scope for developing the programme in their area(s) of expertise.

Please feel free to pass these ads on to potential candidates. While all applications will be considered, in accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given preference.
