I agree with Yasmin that #4 might be a bit vague. I also think that more $500 dollar prizes will allow us to reach more regions. This is one of those rare occasions where I would favor breadth over depth. I would also emphasize #2 (the comparative). I would also leave room for slightly shorter papers provided there is an extra piece of work in the form of a list of known regional projects (with short descriptions and links) in the following categories: a) Digital archives; b) Tools that were created specifically to aid researchers and teachers in relevant disciplines; c) Blog networks of researchers or researcher-activists; d) Multi-modal and other forms of experimental scholarly work online; e) Digital art; f) [Insert category here which you think belongs in the DH galaxy].

Call my old fashion, but fundng most have a clare tematic line, because prepare an abstrac takes time and in that case any person can put there any subjet.

OK this "The form the research may take is also open: theoretical or historical analysis, case study, policy proposals, are all also possible forms and formal experimentation is welcomed."

And I like Domenico´s idea: "abstract at least in 2 languages) would be also useful for testing and evaluating their potential as contributor to a genuine multilingual and multicultural dialogue."
