As a passive observer of this process while it has been going on, let me say that there has just been a ton of work on this going on over the last few months. The organisers are really to be congratulated! I'm also incredibly excited by it.

On the GO::DH side of things, we are hoping that this might become the first of a series (annual? biennial?) of conferences on DH in a global context--conferences that we would like, as much as possible both to move around the globe and encourage participation, development, and hosting outside of Western Europe and North America (i.e. almost see it as the inverse of what normally happens: conferences travelling between Western Europe and North America and occasionally going elsewhere).

If you have ideas for future events, consider contacting Barbara Bordalejo, Alex Gil, or me to discuss ideas or get the ball rolling!
