I hope this clarifies all questions; any other specific queries please email me offlist, but all offers to do translations should be made publicly so everyone knows what has been already taken and what hasn't.If anyone reading this list would like to offer doing a translation of a language which is not any of the above (note this is not of the original full-length published post but of the SHORT version edited by Dan which I attached to my previous message) please say so in reply to this message on this thread (to the whole list).Normally I would not set a deadline since this is volunteer work, but then again it will get a bit crazy for me if I have to keep receiving and editing posts in an ongoing fashion. Also it would be much better if we manage to publish some translations not too late after the original English was published (this was yesterday). So I suggest we set the deadline for Friday 14 June.Dear Gurpreet, everyone,Thank you for your reply and offers to do translations.
I would include hyperlinks to any translated texts from the original English version and re-distribute that post on Twitter announcing the new translations. The translated posts will also link to the other versions.
So far Spanish, Japanese and now Punjabi and Hindi have been taken.
In terms of guidelines only request is you use a .txt file format (sent to efpriego@gmail.com, not this list) and you leave the hyperlinks as they are, with any translation of the hyperlinked text bertween square brackets [ ] next to them. Please name your file 4Humanities O'Donnell Interview YOUR LANGUAGE
All the best,
Ernesto

Sorry about that! I thought I'd saved it correctly.

Realising that the HTML became rich text format in Dan's latest short
edition. No matter.
I'll wait 24 hours for expressions of interest to do a translation of
this interview, if I don't get a reply I will make a public call on
Twitter to crowdsource translations.
Best regards

Hello everyone,
Dan has kindly edited the text of our interview. Would anyone be up
to translating it into any of the languages used by members of DH
Global Outlook (Spanish, French, Italian?) This shorter version is
more manageable than the original post...
I have attached as a txt file, including the HTML. Please leave the
HTML as it is and replace the English with the target language, and
save the file as .txt chaging the file name accordingly.
Hope some of you are willing to contribute.
Thanks very much in advance.
Best regards
Ernesto

Hello everyone,
4Humanities has published my interview with Dan O'Donnell:
http://4humanities.org/2013/05/interview-daniel-o-donnell/
/4Humanities/ is a platform and resource for advocacy of the*Dr Ernesto Priego
humanities, drawing on the technologies, new-media expertise,
and ideas of the international digital humanities community.
It would be ideal to publish translations of the interview on
4Humanities as well, linking from and to the original English
version.
If anyone is willing to volunteer a translation of the post,
please let us know and I'll share the HTML. (The interview is
hyperlink-rich). If we could have several languages that would rock.
Needless to say all translations will be fully credited with
translator's names linking to any online profiles translators
may wish to be linked to.
Thanks very much indeed in advance.
Best regards
Ernesto
