In the GO::DH spirit of things, we are planning this year to try creating a rolling GO::DH paraconference. What this means is that we are thinking of organising sessions at other existing conferences focussing on themes we are interested in, where this is possible and our proposals are acceptable to the organisers.
To get the ball rolling for 2015-2016, we are forming a conference committee under the co-chairs Barbara Bordalejo and Roopika Risam. The first tasks of this committee will be developing some session proposals for DH 2016 Kraków (Deadline November 1) and the Second Federated Congress on Digital Heritage (Alahambra).
This committee will monitor conference calls, develop themes for GO::DH-focussed sessions, and plan, recruit, and where relevant adjudicate submissions for GO::DH sessions at the relevant conferences.
