I'm all for keeping our borders porous and welcoming our new member from Spain!
I also agree-- one more should be OK.
Apologies for off topic comment now but I was also wondering if there is some way we can make the email list and off-list email discussion more efficient-- I know it's the early stages but even then I have personally found it very hard to keep up with so many from the Global DH list. I try to filter into folders but even then it's overwhelming as this is not the only group I (like must of you) belong to.
Not sure what the solution would be-- as some seem to only have access to email but not the Web.
My suggestion would be to rationalise/reduce the stream. (I am also aware that by sending this email I am also contributing to what I have experience as an unnecessary number of messages). I don't want to miss out on what's going on, but I also want to be honest about my personal situation.
Best regards
Ernesto, buried alive in email...

I think that it is a good idea to have someone from Spanish DH on board (I just joined myself and they seem to be doing very interesting things).
Also, if the whole of the executive approves of a new member, there is no need to reopen nominations. It is just an executive decision, right? Naturally, we can also find roles, as the group develops, that might be filled by others.
As you say, when the bylaws are in place, things should be clearer.

On the one had it is not a big deal and I don't think we have any interest in excluding people; on the other we presumably do want to know at a certain point who's doing what with some certainty.
