Dear Colleagues,

As we continue to develop strategies for diversifying our international research partnerships, we are focusing on areas where funding and federal support/partnerships are in place, as well as those where faculty currently have established collaborations. From last week's meetings between Canada and Mexico, Canada's tri-agencies have proposed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for research collaboration between Canada's NSERC and SSHRC and Mexico's National Council for Science and Technology. We expect this MOU to be signed by March 31, 2026.

To position ourselves for enhancing international collaboration, I would like to share the following opportunity with you.

Program name: Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program

Funding organization: Government of Canada

Target audiences: Canadian postsecondary institutions and full-time professors

Funding: $7,000 maximum

Duration: 3 to 8 weeks

Activities: Teach and/or conduct research in eligible countries (including Mexico)
