As we begin Fall term and the many activities, deadlines, and opportunities that await us, I call your attention to some of the important processes and deadlines that are open to all faculty members. The ORIS team is coordinating three significant open calls to the campus community for Expressions of Interest and Applications.

Board of Governors Research Chair applications

This program is open to all research-active faculty members whose contributions and research program plans meet the criteria for CRC Tier I eligibility, meaning those who are established in their research and academic careers who can demonstrate impact of their work, contributions and commitments to EDI and Indigenization, and mentorship of students and staff through their research.

CFI Innovation Fund EOIs for internal selection

This process is required for both uLethbridge-led and externally partnered CFI IF proposals, as we have a limited total projects value we are permitted to submit for CFI consideration.

CRC EOIs for internal selection

There are two CRC Tier II allocations available for internal expressions of interest. These Chairs are targeted for early career researchers (ECRs) and must be aligned with both the disciplinary scope and the four designated groups as defined by the CRC Secretariat and Supreme Court of Canada.
