I am sharing the following award opportunity on behalf of One Child Every Child. The Indigenous Research Seed Funding Awardhttps://em.ucalgary.ca/MTYxLU9MTi05OTAAAAGaHBnXmLe2-XSDXmDKXQ_MDXtVgYRgG3nXJl0uxkbKW6_3JRDWZ5hsiGmfy-aJ2yteIMWR3NI= was just launched. These awards are for scholars that are exploring new child health and wellness research with a focus on Indigenous peoples, organizations and/or communities. Applications are open for the May 16, 2025 intake. There will possibly be multiple intakes.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, you must be an academic staff member, postdoctoral scholar, or doctoral student at the University of Calgary or one of the OCEC institutional partners (University of Alberta, University of Lethbridge or Athabasca University).
Awards Details:
Ten awards of $10,000 each
Award funds may be used for, but not limited to:
* initial community engagement * hiring research staff * support for literature review * grant writing * ceremonial protocol support * honoraria * visuals * early knowledge engagement/presentations with Indigenous community(ies) * travel to develop partnerships

The application is fairly straightforward- answer 5 questions to help describe the project (~150 words for each answer), or a short video to support oral knowledge sharing.
