Dear colleagues,

This information is focused on those of you who are planning to invite a visitor (usually carrying out research) who will need to access university resources, such as computer or laboratory access.

With recent changes in research security requirements, we have conducted a review of our processes for inviting visiting professors/researchers/scholars to spend their time and expertise with our institution. The new process is intended to both meet research security requirements and to ensure that visitors are protected (e.g., insurance coverage) while they are part of our on-campus community. Committing to research security requirements is also part of your attestation when you apply for Tri-Council funding.
