OK I've taken a look and the Digital Classicist, which *is* still there. Digital Medievalist was not there, but apparently it has been deleted, yes?
Does anyone have copies of the Talk page?
A couple of the editors who objected I know quite well, so I'll have chat with them.
Meanwhile, the article does look a bit like an advert. Another objection was that it doesn't get many Google hits. Nothing wrong with that, but need to think of ways round.
I'll ask the editors concerned if they can help.

Yes, I happen to have a screenshot showing the text on the page as it was a year or so ago. Wasn't anything much, I wrote most of it, just a brief description of the project. It probably did sound a bit like an advert (but an advert for a non-commercial academic community of practice!) and should have been expanded more.

Sadly, no.
