It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce changes in the officers of Digital Medievalist.
* James Cummings will be replacing me as Director. * Malte Rehbein will be succeeding Arianna Ciula and Dot Porter as Editor in Chief of the journal. * Peter Stokes and I will be acting as associate editors of the journal. * Rebecca Welzenbach will be continuing as Reviews Editor. * Dot Porter will be taking over primary responsibility for the Wiki.
The other members of the Board will be involved in various roles in all these activities. The current membership of the board (term end in parenthesis) is:
* Marjorie Burghart (-2010) * James Cummings (-2010) * Daniel Paul O'Donnell (-2011) * Dorothy Carr Porter (-2010) * Malte Rehbein (-2011) * Roberto Rosselli Del Turco (-2010) * Torsten Schassen (-2010) * Peter Stokes (-2011)
I think these changes are an important part of Digital Medievalist's transition from a grant-funded project to a true community-based community of practice. It is exciting to see new hands at the reins, and I think we can expect great things from the coming year.
Thanks very much to all previous board members and officers (see http://www.digitalmedievalist.org/about/). And good luck to the new Honchos!
