the VeDPH is glad to announce that the new Lyon16ci website is online. It includes a database of 10000 automatically searchable images of book illustrations documenting the printing industry in Lyon during the Renaissance.

It uses the VGG Image Search Engine (VISE) software, and it is the result of the cooperation between the project by Dr. Barbara Tramelli "The Illustrated Book in Lyon 1480-1600" (Equipex Biblissima/The Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities) and the Visual Geometry Group in Oxford.
