42nd International Congress on Medieval Studies Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan May 10-13, 2007
Two sessions, "Laws in (cyber)Space" Sponsored by the Collaboratory for Research in Computing for Humanities, University of Kentucky
We invite papers on any topic relating to the editing of medieval laws. We are especially interested in the particular problems of editing law texts (as opposed to editing other types of texts) and issues of editing in an electronic environment for digital publication and dissemination. We will invite contributions on all sorts of law texts, including but not limited to laws municipal, confraternal, canon, and secular, and monastic regulations, in Latin and vernacular languages.
If you are interested, please send an abstract of no more than 350 words to the organizers by September 15, 2006.
Send submissions to Dot Porter, dporter@uky.edu Questions on whether your work would fit in this session? Contact Abigail Firey, afire2@email.uky.edu
