Hi all,
Having updated various computers to the latest version of Ubuntu, I'm tempted to try out the new free cloud service Ubuntu One. Has anybody used it for anything yet? What do you use it for?

Hi Dan,
I've used it to pass some files back and forth between a number of machines, but not yet used it in a good, automated, manner. What I'd like to do is store my firefox and thunderbird profiles in it somehow, and have them always up-to-date on whatever machine I'm using. (i.e. so mail filters and such are the same on all machines). But I've not had time to play with it enough.

That's a good idea. Currently I rsync files around machines in my own little cloud, so I'm not 100% sure I need it for much. Sharing files is a good idea for it too, I suppose, though I don't lack server space of my own. It's one of those things that I'm sure should be really useful if only I could think of a use for it.
