For the past few months, I have been working on the Early Irish Manuscripts Project at Trinity College Dublin. Supported by the Bank of America Merrill Lynch art conservation fund, the aim of the project is to conserve, digitise and research four early Gospel Books made in Irish monastic foundations: Codex Usserianus Primus (TCD MS 55), the Book of Mulling (TCD MS 60), the Book of Dimma (TCD MS 59), and the Garland of Howth (TCD MS 56).

To share with you progress and discoveries, we have just launched a blog which will be our project diary. It will document the conservation, digitisation and research processes through this year and well into the next with text, photographs and videos posted each week.
