Dear digital medievalists,
I am pleased to announce the opening of four postdoctoral research fellowships at the Centre for Digital and Public Humanities of the Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici at Ca' Foscari Università di Venezia. Please circulate widely!
The application must include the proposal of a research project in the respective field:
1) digital textual scholarship, e.g.: the creation, extension and enrichment of a digital textual resource (edition, collection, corpus) or the development and enhancement of a software tool for the analysis and publication of historical documents and literary texts;
2) digital art history, e.g.: the creation/extension of digital resources for the study of artistic corpora (collections, archives) or the software development/management of digital corpora (museums, foundations, archives, estates) or the development of tools and databases for image analysis and iconographic comparison;
3) digital and public history, e.g.: historical research carried out in public, with the public and regarding the public, involving museums, archives or heritage centers, applying methods of oral history, media history or community history, related to public memory or public sources;
4) digital cultural heritage, e.g.: the development of a modular environment of advanced technologies for the digitization of cultural heritage materials, the analysis and visualization of data and metadata and the creation of digital archives and virtual exhibitions.
Italian language skills are favourable but not required. Candidates without Italian language skills are expected to acquire basic knowledge during the fellowship.

The fellowships amount to Euro 19.367,00 per year gross to each recipient. An extra amount aimed at covering actual research costs of max. Euro 1.000,00 will be granted to the each fellow.
