Nominate an outstanding researcher for the Speaker Research Medal!
We are excited to announce that nominations are now open for the Speaker Medal for Distinguished Research, Scholarship or Performance – one of the University’s highest honours. This prestigious award celebrates the central role of research, scholarship and performance in shaping ULethbridge’s mission and recognizes academic staff who excel in these areas.
New this year:
Eligibility for the Speaker Medal will now alternate annually between two broad disciplinary categories:
* Social Sciences, Humanities, and Fine Arts
* Natural Sciences and Health Disciplines
For the 2026 competition, nominations are open to all Social Sciences, Humanities, and Fine Arts faculty who are either currently full- or part-time employed at ULethbridge, as well as to retired academic staff members with a contract agreement.
Nominations are due February 2, 2026. For more information, please consult the ORIS website. https://www.ulethbridge.ca/research/speaker-research-medal-guidelines
Good morning,
Thank you for your support as we transition from the old research administration process to use a single streamlined site!
I am excited to share that the website setup for the InfoEd Research Management System is complete, and the research office can support new fund requests and process research proposal forms.
You can log into the new site here: https://go.uleth.ca/rms
Information and resources are available here: https://go.uleth.ca/infoed<https://uleth.sharepoint.com/sites/research-services/SitePages/InfoEd-RMS.a…>
Please use the RMS site to:
* Submit research proposal forms (RPFs)
* View information for your active funds (agreements, fund numbers, end dates, etc..)
* Submit applications for internal grants (e.g., University of Lethbridge Travel Fund, Tri-Agency Catalyst, etc.)
Nicole will hold weekly InfoEd information sessions in an "office hours" format for the next three weeks, from Dec 3 to 18, 2025.
* Tuesdays from 9am-10am https://uleth.zoom.us/j/91728701062
* Wednesdays from Noon-1pm https://uleth.zoom.us/j/96738894825
* Thursdays 3pm - 4pm https://uleth.zoom.us/j/93064074751
If you have any questions or concerns about the transition (e.g., a RPF that was not approved before the deadline), please reach out to your research facilitator. They will work to make sure your records are complete and up-to-date. You should not have to re-enter new information.
Please note that only active/open funds and proposal information (RPFs) were transferred from the Bridge. If you have unsuccessful proposals that you submitted an RPF for, that information is available on the Bridge until December 22 at 4:30pm. After this, you will lose access to the RPF information on the Bridge. The records will be stored by ORIS. If needed, you can contact a research facilitator to access a proposal for a closed fund or unsuccessful application.
Best wishes,
Dena
