Jim- I'd love to come. But I'm a retiree on a fixed income. Even your "low income" registration isn't low enough so that, when combined with travel costs, the meeting would be affordable. Suggestion: consider making arrangements for interested parties like me to attend by teleconference and/or online. My guess is that AGU has the appropriate facilities. BDZ

AGU Chapman Conference: Communicating Climate Science - a moderated discussion list dedicated to focusing our capacities to address climate change through the Chapman Meeting June 8-13, 2013. Please reply to originator unless the discussion is of interest to all list members. *****************
Dear Chapman Climate Colleagues:
We are all aware our atmosphere has reached 400 PPM CO2. We are well on the way towards possible catastrophic climate change. We need multiple actions on many fronts. The Chapman Meeting can orchestrate some very important steps please come and contribute. Forgive the repetition WE WE WE! But this has to be a community action. WE have to act now!
We are organizing a conference writing team to develop a consensus report including a series of resolutions that address the ways forward on climate change communication. We are looking forward to your active participation in the discussions. The program has many oral and poster presentations AND we have created a series of formal and informal discussion periods that will allow all delegates to (i) participate in the discussions and (ii) contribute to the consensus report on ways and means to move forward on climate change actions.
Registration for the Chapman Climate Communication Meeting is online. Please register ASAP! We invite your participation in the meeting whether you have submitted an abstract or not. May 24th is the registration deadline on the webpage. Here is the link:
