Dear Friends of AGU Communicating Climate Science Conference,
One of the first events to arise from our recently completed and amazing conference is a call-in radio show on KCNR 1460AM from downtown Redding, the politically conservative heart of deep red Northern California.
The show will feature interviews with the following conference attendees:
1) Gavin Schmidt (NASA GISS and RealClimate)
2) Simon Donner (http://www.geog.ubc.ca/~sdonner/)
3) Bob Henson (Rough Guide to Climate Change)
4) Melanie Fitzpatrick (Union of Concerned Scientists)
The show will be broadcast on Tuesday, June 18 from 7-9 PDT, 8-10 MDT, 9-11 CDT and 10-noon EDT. You can listen to the program live-streamed at http://www.kcnr1460.com/ and it will be preserved in the archives as a podcast at the same site.
This is Denier country here. Tea Party Central. And KCNR is a Fox News radio station with all conservative talk radio programming. They have Laura Ingraham, Dennis Miller and Mike Huckabee on their station.
If you are able, please call in with questions at 530-605-4565file:///tel/530-605-4565. The more people from "our side" who call in, the less we have to deal with distracting denier/liar calls.
Please forward this far and wide. The more people hear this, the better. Our friend D.R. Tucker from Boston and the Huffington Post (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/d-r-tucker/) has tweeted this. Feel free to re-tweet it.
https://twitter.com/drtucker/status/346001930209865728
and it should then be in podcast form in the archives at:

I have written one blog on this so far but will do at least one more. Here is the first one:

And special thanks to Gavin, Simon, Bob and Melanie for agreeing to donate their time to this endeavor. Hopefully, we can do more of these in the future with more of you since each of you has something special to offer. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in being interviewed for future radio programs. Besides KCNR, I can also arrange interviews on KKRN. This is a very progressive community and listener supported radio station that is also live-streamed. Find it at http://kkrn.org/.
Thank you!
In gratitude,
Doug Craig

Way to go Bob.

Bob, if you are reading this, good on you.
I was especially struck by the quotation from the "former senior lecturer in sports science" who stated that the science of global warming is "of course...not settled." This is another illustration of how successful that particular canard has been.
That brings a suggestion to mind. At the meeting we had some debate about whether "denier" is the right word to use. Perhaps it could be replaced by "canarder"---which among other things would suggest that these people are ducking the issue...

Absolutely, nice contribution by Bob to keep the pressure on the organizations and individuals that fund and perpetrate denial campaigns. This has been a concerted effort by many parties, including witness statements, affidavits, FOIA requests, etc against the GWPF. -Rick Heede
