Overview: In October 2024, the Tri-agencies released a statement that narrative CVs, also called the "Tri-agency CV" would be phased in until all applications rely on this new format. Since this announcement, select competitions (SSHRC Impact Award, CIHR Catalysts, NSERC Discovery Horizons) have tested the narrative CV format, and continue to do so for certain opportunities. A full-rollout date is not confirmed, but the Tri-agencies hinted Fall 2027 or later as a possible implementation deadline.
