Thanks indeed! As Alex says, we are using the WPML plugin. We'd also discussed different approaches to translation.
The one we've adopted for right now is a relatively informal, paraphrase-as-needed system. We're working on the assumption that much of the conversation is taking place in English--through we may find that that is not always true--and that many people read English reasonably well. But sometimes it is helpful to have a paraphrase, summary, or translation to help your colleagues understand what's going on (I know that's certainly true for me for my weaker languages). And of course it is really nice to have core infrastructure in multiple languages.
This isn't a perfect system of course and I think as the numbers have risen it might make a lot of sense to revisit it more systematically. Once our executive is in place, I think a major question for it is going to be agenda setting: there are so many great ideas!

It might be interesting to set up a more coordinated localization (L10n) initiative for the group. Online systems like Pootle (http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/pootle/index) or Zanata (http://zanata.org/) could be used.
