A quick note to say that last week I accepted being the ACH's ex officio representative to GO::DH, as I'm a member of their Executive Committee. This role is still to be confirmed etc., but I thought I'd share now with the GO::DH community.

Thank you all for the wonderful work you have done this week spreading the word through your email lists. We waited a couple more days to close the call for members of the executive committee to give a chance to those who were just hearing about us to volunteer.
We received a large number of candidacies and we are closing the call. Join me in congratulating Dan O'Donnell as our chair for the first year of GO::DH. Dan was elected unanimously by those who cast their votes.
We will work in the days to come with the rest of the volunteers to determine a structure and specific roles within the executive. We are very excited by the range of backgrounds and expertise of those who volunteered and feel very optimistic about the work we can accomplish this year.
