Hi all,
I've been meaning to mention as an output that I will also be participating on a roundtable at MLA this January where I will be talking about multilingualism in DH. http://www.mla.org/program_details?prog_id=448&year=2015 It is, of course, directly related to the work I've been doing on the group.
Cheers! Élika

This is a great idea. I suggest that the GO::DH website would be a good place to collect all this information.
The 2° Encuentro de HD held in Mexico in May 2014 was co-organized by ADHO via GO::DH. See http://www.humanidadesdigitales.net/index.php/eventos/encuentro2014 and http://www.humanidadesdigitales.net/index.php/eventos/encuentro2014/comite-o... .
In more abstract terms I think that the list itself and the discussions we have had have been extremely useful.
Best,
Isabel

Hi all,
For my part –
· I’ve set up the SADH network (www.sa-dh.info; and there is the corresponding mailing list: http://lists.globaloutlookdh.org/listinfo.cgi/southasia-dh-globaloutlookdh.o...)
· Been invited to speak on a plenary panel at Digital Diversity 2015 http://digitaldiversity2015.org/featured-speakers-2/
· Presented a workshop at SHARP 2015 on global DH and its relationship with book history:
http://www.sharp2014.be/special-sessions.html
hope that helps!
All best,
Padmini.

If in the meantime, I could kind of stress: if people have outputs they can report, and relatively quickly, I'd really appreciate it. I can use them this week, as it were. There's gold in them thar hills.

I was planning on putting a Zotero group up on the site that maintains a group bibliography of materials relevant to the GO::DH mission.
Perhaps we should add this list to that group, so that they are easily referenced by the group, and cited by others?
I am happy to manage this.
Best regards, James

This conversation about this letter raises an interesting question: what outputs can we ascribe to GO::DH over the last two years?
Alex gave a lecture to my DH class a few weeks back and mentioned some of the initiatives that can be attributed to or associated with GO::DH, and it was quite a list. AroundDH, for example. But also a number of things that were going to happen anyway, but perhaps picked up an extra kick from our existence. I would argue that the field's interest in globalisation and especially its willingness to locate itself outside of North America and Western Europe has not been hurt by our existence at any rate and might well be partially ascribed to it.
As we get ready to pursue funding for more GO::DH activities, I wonder if it wouldn't make sense to see if we can compile a list of activities and outputs that could be in some way said to be associated with, inspired by, motivated by, encouraged through, or so on our collective. It might be interesting to have such a list so that we can point to it when we do ask for funding.
The political question, however, is going to be not to be greedy about it and to recognise that saying "associated with GO::DH" is not the same thing as "couldn't/wouldn't have happened without it" or "not really the work of its alleged PI or author."
So my question: if you think back over the last two years, are there activities you've engaged in, talks you've given, partnerships or projects you've begun, articles you've written that were in some way impacted by or enabled through your participation in GO::DH? Did you meet new research partners through GO::DH? Did you have new ideas? Have you taught new classes?
In my case, for example, I can think without much effort of the following, the following things that I've been involved in organising or authoring. And I think there might be more if I look harder:
Students ("HQP")
Gurpreet Singh, accepted and funded.
