I am reaching out to you on behalf of the organizing committee of the upcoming Association of Computers and the Humanities 2024 Conference to invite you all to consider submitting a proposal to participate in this nationally recognized conference. It will be great to have your amazing work presented in this event. Appreciate if you all could help me spread the work of this CFP among the people who may be interested. The Association for Computers and the Humanities https://ach2024.ach.org/ seeks proposals for ACH 2024https://ach2024.ach.org/, a virtual conference, to be held online November 6-8, 2024. We welcome a broad range of topics, with a particular emphasis on social justice in multiple contexts: anti-racist work, Indigenous studies, cultural and critical ethnic studies, intersectional feminism, postcolonial and decolonial studies, disability studies, and queer studies. We also prioritize proposals that explicitly address multilingualism in digital humanities, which is itself a matter of social justice.
Areas of digital humanities scholarship that are relevant to the conference include but are not limited to:
* AI and its consequences
* Digital and computational approaches to humanistic research and pedagogy
* Digital cultural heritage
* Digital surveillance
* Environmental humanities & climate justice
* Digital humanities tools and infrastructures
* Digital librarianship
* Digital media, art, literature, history, music, film, and games
* Digital public humanities
* Humanistic and ethical approaches to data science and data visualization
* Humanistic research on digital objects and cultures
* Humanities knowledge infrastructures
* Labor and organization in digital humanities
* Physical computing
* Resource creation, curation, and engagement
* Use of digital technologies to write, publish, and review scholarship
Submission types include: papers (12-15 minutes), lightning talks (5 minutes), posters, panels (1 hour and 15 minutes), roundtables (1 hour and 15 minutes), installations and performances, and alternate formats (variable length).
The deadline for ACH 2024 is May 20, 2024.

Position title: Head of Digital Scholarship Location: Penn Libraries, University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA) Budgeted pay range: $74,476.00 - $98,753.00 annually Job description summary: Reporting to the Director of Research Data and Digital Scholarship (RDDS), the Head of Digital Scholarship is responsible for the administrative management of libraries’ digital scholarship initiatives including those related to digital projects, digital humanities, public digital scholarship, and affiliated areas. In collaboration with the Research Data and Digital Scholarship team and disciplinary specialists, they will: • coordinate project support through the RDDS sub-team, Digital Projects, Publications, and Partnerships. • develop and deliver forward-thinking, measurable, campus-aligned programming to support researchers; and • scaffold scalable education and outreach programming and support for graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty. • prioritize the development of strong, collaborative relationships with library subject specialists as appropriate and with relevant campus partners, such as the Price Lab for the Digital Humanities. The incumbent will manage a small team of specialists and students focused on digital projects and public digital scholarship.
