Dear all,
I have some important announcements for the list. Dan O'Donnell, our elected chair, has had to stand down temporarily and has asked me to fill in the role of acting chair, which I have accepted. I look forward to representing our interest group until Dan can return, and I won't let you down.
In the past couple of weeks, we have also worked hard to set up our executive board. Because I am acting chair, we have also decided to work with acting vice-chairs for the interim. Here is our board as of now:

We have decided that our second secretary should come from the general membership. If you would like to volunteer please let me know. We are also looking to staff the following positions:
- An editorial committee responsible for the GO::DH website. - An organiser/organisers for planning conference and poster sessions.
A webmaster right now is one of our biggest priority. If you want to help drive one of our most important platforms send me a line. This would be a great opportunity to get involved and help out.
