I have a good contact at Sloan--Josh Greenberg, formerly of NYPL. If someone wants to pass along a paragraph describing what we might do with their money, I can run it by them to see whether it's something of interest.

Hi all,
Looking into funding and the I saw the Sloan foundation have a programme aimed at STEM Higher Education initiatives (STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering, and Medicine). The description really seems to focus on technology and is particular interested in promoting access.
STEM Higher Education The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation is unique among foundations in its focus on science and technology. We believe that the scholars and practicioners in scientific and technical fields are chief drivers of the nation's prosperity. Grants in the STEM Higher Education program area promote access to the scientific enterprise, provide information about scientific and technical careers, and encourage innovation to the structure of scientific training.
Anybody have any experience with them? I wonder if a DH application could make the case that we fit their interests.
