Dear all,
I'm working on this this afternoon. Before I do I just wanted to check if we are going for the 3" pins? Design similar to the first one proposed? Élika

I like idea #1, which lets the community choose the languages they want without us having to guess beforehand the needs. I also like the idea of ISO, but being comprehensive is going to be tricky.
I'm also liking this a lot!

Since the DH people know that button manufacturer and it looks like Elika could take them, I think we should go with their vendor. It eliminates one step of researching somebody.
They have a good design template if somebody wants to use it (Elika: since you had the original design, would you want to try again for a Button using their templates?). The only thing we'd need to find out is whether you can write on the buttons with a sharpy.
I can see a couple of alternatives:
- We print up 200 or so buttons with something like "I whisper
[or whatever] _______________" (i.e. they fill in the blank with a sharpy). Cost: about $100. 2. We print up smaller number of buttons (25 of each?) with specific languages: "I whisper SPA," "I whisper ITA," etc. Cost, probably closer to $250.
Maybe for the first time #1 is the best idea? If so, we could even put the ISO codes for common languages in small print around the edge of the button (the vendor allows you to use that bit for URLs, etc. That would make them completely self-contained: FRA, SPA, ITA, what are some others?
Liking this a lot.

I will double check, but I'm pretty sure they ship. If that's the case, and it doesn't add much to the cost, I'm happy to take them to Lausanne myself.
Happy weekend, everyone!
