Dear all,
you don't have necessarily to believe in cosmic synchronies, but on the same day of my departure from India "The Times of India" has published this article (thanks to Andrew Prescott for posting it on Humanist):

Although the Indian newspaper could not know, Gurpreet Singh of Lovely Professional University (Punjab) kindly invited me to give a talk on global DH on March 4th. It was an exciting experience for me, and the local organizers successfully managed to put together an audience made of people coming from a number of different faculties and departments. LPU it's a fast-growing and dymanic private university, and I was impressed by the quality of intellectual engagement of the colleagues and administrators I met: they all showed a great interest in creating an inter-faculty research group on DH! I think Gurpreet will circulate soon a report on our meetings, but I just wanted to congratulate (and thank) him again for organizing this event and reiterate my encouragement and full support for devoloping an "Indian way" to Digital Humanities.
Sat siri akal!
