Hi all,
For the ACH Conference, several colleagues with the Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) will be attending, including the Digital Caribbean poster session folks with Pat Reakes, Melissa Espino, and Brian Keith. Margo Groenwald is with the University of Curaçao and dLOC. I'll miss ACH--ACURIL is the same time in Haiti (along with CSA; many conferences in the same week!). For local collaboration, it's great to meet folks when visiting and through other connections. I hope to see folks in Haiti at ACURIL, and hope many other folks can meet at ACH. I'm also super hopeful we can all meet at the next THATCamp Caribe!
Best wishes, Laurie

Greetings Krystal,
The annual Association of Caribbean Historians Conference will be held in Havana from June 5-9. On Thursday, June 9, there is a poster session on "The Digital Caribbean" and a panel on "El Estudio del tráfico de esclavos en el contexto de las nuevas tecnologías digitales." More information can be found at http://associationofcaribbeanhistorians.org/annualmeeting.htm.
Although presenters and participants come from all over, the Conference should attract many local scholars.

¿Hay alguna estudiosos utilizando herramientas de DH en la investigación académica en Habana, Cuba?
Have a good weekend.
