I'm a lecturer in German at Swansea University in Wales, leading a DH project creating tools for exploring multiple diverse translations or versions. For the moment, we're experimenting with a collection of German versions of Shakespeare's Othello: 37 of them, from 1766 to 2010. We aim to create a generic, global platform for working (and playing) with multiple versions of anything in any languages. - www.delightedbeauty.org/vvv - the team: www.delightedbeauty.org/vvv/Home/Credits At my primitive crowd-sourcing site, www.delightedbeauty.org, so far about 70 people from 30 countries have documented and/or created 190 versions of one Shakespeare couplet, in 34 languages.

Ich bin Germanistik-Dozent an der Universität Swansea in Wales und leite ein DH-Projekt, das Werkzeuge schafft, mit denen vielfache, vielfältige Übersetzungen oder Fassungen untersucht werden können. Momentan experimentieren wir mit einer Sammlung von 37 deutschsprachigen Fassungen des Othello von Shakespeare, 1766-2010. Je suis professeur d'allemand à l'Université de Swansea en Pays de Galles et dirigeant d'un projet DH qui crée des outils pour l'exploration des traductions ou versions multiples. Pour l'instant nous expérimentons avec une collection de versions de l'Othello de Shakespeare en langue allemande (dont 37, de 1766 à 2010). My name is Øyvind Eide. I work a the Unit for Digital Documentation at the University of Oslo and just finished a PhD in Digital Humanities at King's College London. I am appointed from ALLC: The European Association for Digital Humanities to this SIG.

On reason for my interest in this group is a long time involvement in lexicography in Zimbabwe and Mozambique, and also a first nation perspective in my research, where I use historical sources with a strong link to the Sami nation.

I could have written this in Norwegian as well, but we are so anglicised in Scandinavia it is hardly any point...

My name is Kiyonori Nagasaki. Now I’m senior fellow and general manager in the International Institute for Digital Humanities and project associate professor in the University of Tokyo. I’m engaging in dissemination of DH among Japanese DH-related scholars and DH education mainly in the graduate school. I’m very interested in this GO::DH and would like to contribute as far as I can. I suggested several projects which treat contents in the areas which GO::DH targets on the Google spreadsheet. I hope they would be useful.
