A response from members of the GO::DH community to the ADHO call for comment on intercultural communication
Hi all,
We have an almost final version of our document now available online: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11b87VmblizmYeFoOUbHDOeR8A2EQ1F_Kg9jNQwUs....
Karina has asked that we submit it in the course of the day Wednesday CET. The section editors still need to take a final view to make sure that their work is showing up the way they want and, of course, we welcome any comment--though at this point we may need to wait for subsequent iterations to incorporate significant points.
I'd like to thank all who participated in what was a really enjoyable collaborative process. Mistakes and misrepresentations are the responsibility of the editors...but mostly inadvertent. We realise (I think) that it is a little platitudinous.

I really enjoyed reading this document, not just its content but the way it was produced. Talk about collaboration!
I really hope we find ways to move forward with this. Publish it and make it available to members of the DH community. Maybe at DH16? To a full auditorium?! :)

That would be easy. If we're talking about the open list, all it takes is for us to start circulating the link through our social media channels. If no one disagrees, I can probably start doing that tomorrow. The internal steering committee meeting is a bit more challenging technologically speaking, but doable if we decide it's a good idea.

Can´t we make it available online as content from GODH webpage? We could open an item in the menu and continue working and uploading there ideas on the topics and activities we proposed in the document. It would also make it easier to share from our personal social media. Best Gimena

Another option would be to publish the final content as a post from the GO::DH site with a link to the original Google Docs (which are world readable) and then encourage the discussion to continue.

In my opinion a post on the GO::DH site would be brilliant; and we could also share from there.
If we give it a CC-by license other organisations could adapt? I am sure many other fields and associations could benefit from statements like this...

Karina has asked that we submit it in the course of the day Wednesday CET. The section editors still need to take a final view to make sure that their work is showing up the way they want and, of course, we welcome any comment--though at this point we may need to wait for subsequent iterations to incorporate significant points.
